If you come to visit the Island of Dominican Republic on your own or with some resort excursion, you have to pass by the most beautiful village called Altos de Chavon in Casa de Campo.

For sure, you will not regret it!

Located in the south coast of the Caribbean Island, close to La Romana, the biggest town between Santo Domingo and Punta Cana.

You need to access into Casa de Campo to get to this little gorgeous Altos de Chavon.

About Altos de Chavon:

As soon as you will reach this place, you will fall in love with it very quickly.

On top of the hill, you get an amazing view of the Rio Chavon and all its Dominican green landscape.

And when you walk inside Altos de Chavon, you discover that the entire structure was made of cobblestones by the Dominican architect, Jose Antonio Caro and the Italian master designer and cinematographer, Roberto Coppa. They get their inspiration from the Mediterranean style of the 16th century.

In such a wonderful place, it 's easy to believe that lots of weddings are celebrated in Altos de Chavon.

It was the case for Jacqueline & Anthony, bride & groom of my last experience there. They contact me to play at the cocktail hour and the reception, and as professional saxophone player , I was very grateful to perform in this frame and to share my passion with the guests.

For the wedding saxophonist, it's not always easy to arrive after few chats by e-mail with the bride or the groom in the middle of the wedding family and guests and make things happen, but to be honest in this cocktail hour, I feel very comfortable and welcome right away between those Mexican Jacqueline and Anthony's family members. They quickly appreciate the music and the sound of my saxophone!
